Meet Annette &
Green Shed Talent.
Hi there. So glad you’ve found me.
I’m Annette, founder and facilitator at Green Shed Talent.
When I’m not helping specialists grow as managers and level up their people skills, you’ll find me playing in a brass band or walking the dogs across a muddy field admiring the beautiful view.
And, before you ask, I’m not really a gardener. It just all started in a shed that’s green.

The best people managers inspire their teams
You aren’t here looking for your typical corporate training. (If you are, this may be your cue to leave). Instead, you’re after someone who focuses on fostering connections, sparking creativity, and revealing those brilliant lightbulb moments that truly make a difference to how your managers do things.
Whether you’re working with engineers, scientists, or vets, their technical expertise isn’t an issue – they’re already fantastic at that. What I bring to the table is a knack for unlocking their people skills:
-
building stronger relationships
-
creating harmonious teams
-
helping managers adapt their style, and
-
giving them the confidence to be great leaders
Developing the magic of teams
At Green Shed, we’re all about enabling managers to become the leaders they want to be.
And the way I do that is to create the best team players who know how to adapt their approach. Here’s how I like to explain it:
I’m a musician, and I play both the flugelhorn and cornet. I’m a good flugelhorn player (you could argue I’m the best in my local band), but the real magic happens when I’m playing cornet in a quintet.
When you’re in a group, it isn’t about being the best. It’s about listening, adapting, and working together to create something incredible. You need to wait your turn, pay attention to what others are doing, and respond accordingly.
That’s the approach I bring to any learning and development programme I facilitate. It isn’t about individual technical brilliance. It’s about the harmony of a well-connected team (and accepting sometimes you’ll play a wrong note).
I’m there to help you spot when things go wrong and correct yourself quickly, so you don’t lose the overall flow.

Surround yourself with the best people
By the end of their leadership training session, your managers won’t just know the theories. They’ll feel confident, inspired, and ready to create high-performing, happy teams.
Forget boring PowerPoints and corporate jargon. Think hands-on activities, real-world stories, and a touch of fun to keep everyone engaged.
The same goes for my associates. They’re hand-picked because they’re brilliant at what they do, and they share my philosophy on learning and development:
Life’s too short for dull training that teaches you nothing.
So, let’s chat soon about how I can help you. And let’s get your managers to be the leaders you need and that they want to be.
